Built in 1970 and named after one of the longest running mayors in Milwaukee, Daniel Hoan.
Milwaukee’s moment in the spotlight during the making of “The Blues Brothers.” About 150 cast and crew members of the movie — including director John Landis and stars John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd — came to Milwaukee for what turned out to be two days of filming on Aug. 28 and 29, 1979, for a scene lasting barely a minute.
